Defensive Edge is a company that provides Personal Protection Systems and Martial Arts Training through reality based and dynamic principles.
Our Personal Protection Systems provide training solutions to law enforcement, security, public groups and corporations. These programs increase safety through academic and physical education. Our main goal is to increase awareness of the self-defense environment.
Our Personal Protection Systems provides students with real life orientation, application and reference. The true-to-life applications that students easily relate to, results in increasing their personal safety. Our programs also provide reduced liability by increasing the level of due diligence for your company or organization.
Defensive Edge provides Martial Arts Training in the Black Arts Society Military Unarmed Combat program and is the sole licensed provider of this program for the City of Burlington, Ontario, Canada. Defensive Edge also incorporates Kyusho-Jitsu, Hapkido, energy manipulation and the use of lethal and non-lethal techniques. The Martial Arts Training program adheres to Close Quarters Combat principles. It is non-sport oriented and uses dynamic and reality based training drills to create intuitive and automatic movements, which develop quick and efficient threat responses. At Defensive Edge each student is treated as an individual throughout training, allowing them to make best use of their body types and background diversity.
Defensive Edge is also the home of the Canadian Combat Arts Conference. This conference presents various combat arts that can be found in Canada. We take pride in promoting them at the conference. For information on this year’s conference please view the above link. If you wish to present your art or combat skills at the 2007 conference please contact us for information.
Enjoy spending time looking through our site and return often for updates. We welcome any comments that you may have.
